Our client is a global fund adviser providing independent investment insights and services to institutional investors,
wealth managers and independent financial advisers. The business has grown exponentially over the past few years due to the changes in the investments advice industry. Due to this growth our client now has a new opportunity to extend their operations team with a suitably qualified and experienced BEE candidate. The role incorporates the following job duties.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OVERVIEW
The Operations Analyst role is a diverse role suited to an organized and process driven candidate who has an interest in the investments industry. The role focusses on model portfolio implementation, client service support as well as
building strong working relationships with clients and service providers. Our client business covers local and offshore
investing, presenting a great opportunity to develop expertise across a wide array of areas.
The key features of the role are:
1. Model Portfolio Administration:
a. Administration and maintenance of local and offshore model portfolios
b. Assist clients on model portfolio related queries and provide support
c. Implement model portfolio changes instructed by the Investment Team
d. Implement model portfolio management requests instructed by the Client Service Team
e. Institutional client support
f. Bespoke client support
2. Relationship Building:
a. Build strong working relationships with model portfolio teams at service providers
b. Build good working relationships with operations team at various model client practices
c. Maintain good relationships with clients
3. Reporting
a. Weekly AUM Reporting
b. Quarterly Client Reporting
c. Bespoke client reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
d. Monthly model factsheet checking
e. Regular client fee calculations and support to Finance
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Qualifications ‐ Bachelor of Administration (B Admin)
‐ Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
‐ Diploma in Business & Information Administration
‐ Or equivalent tertiary qualification
Experience:
‐ Financial Services experience preferred
‐ Minimum 2 years working experience
