Our client is a major global Corporate bank, their South African business has a substantial office in Gauteng and a smaller office in Cape Town.
The purpose of this role is to ensure all Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) related areas are fully functional and operational; and effectively managed and conducted within legal, statutory and budgetary constraints and requirements.
Business Continuity Management – To ensure primary site resilience for the ITSM environment as well as providing business continuity planning, recovery and ongoing improvement as per required standards.
Information Security and Infrastructure Enhancement – To ensure that the ITSM environment is secure, robust and resilient and is protected against any potential threats (internal and external). To ensure that the ITSM infrastructure can provide sufficient infrastructure capacity and systems availability according to business requirements.
Business Intelligence, Application Development and Management – To ensure all system changes in the ITSM environment are correctly documented, monitored and follow the ITSM project life cycle and comply with Head Office and local standards / guidelines. To ensure continual service improvement for the ITSM environment as well as business process and reporting enhancements.
Support and Services – To ensure that the ITSM function provides acceptable levels of support for the branch as well as training where required and to ensure compliance with local and Head Office requirements.
Internal Management – To ensure the ITSM function has the required oversight and management of risk to ensure sound corporate governance, that the ITSM strategy is sound and supports the branch strategy, and ensuring regulatory compliance. To ensure that the ITSM function is managed efficiently and effectively, internally as well as external third parties.
